7. How does distance education work?

Allied provides two convenient ways to complete a distance education course:

  • Traditional Correspondence - With Allied’s correspondence course, students receive all  course materials through the mail.
  • Online - Students receive the same materials, but have the added benefit of completing all assignments and exams online. (Please note that some courses are 100% online and have all of the materials, assignments and exams available only through a computer.)

Once a student receives their course materials, they have up to one year to complete their course (up to 18 months with some medical career training courses). They can work at their own pace and complete assignments and exams when they choose. Upon successful completion of the course, students receive a Certificate of Completion.

8. What are the benefits of choosing an online course?

Choosing an online course provides students with a few added benefits that include:

  • The ability to start the online course immediately after enrolling
  • Instant feedback/grading on quizzes and final exam
  • A Certificate of Completion received via e-mail immediately upon finishing the course

9. What if a student needs educational assistance with their online course?

At Allied, students are never alone during their studies. If a student requires assistance for any reason, they can contact a representative during regular business hours and receive live student support.

Allied representatives assist with technical issues, educational support and more. Help is only a phone call, e-mail or fax away!
