What is JANET? JANET, or Job Assistance Network, is a four-week course that provides you with academic and practical skills to conduct a successful job search.
As part of your package, you get a workbook that includes valuable reading tips and hands-on assignments.
The topics include:
- Writing effective résumés and cover letters
- Uncovering job leads
- Finding successful ways to network
- Learning about new technology
- Asking common questions
You also get "Interview Power," a 70-minute video that takes a look at the interview process. Learn how to dress, what answers to give to tough questions, and how to make a good impression.

It's never too late to brush up on your job search skills. Our JANET course provides helpful information for all types of job seekers.
- Personalized service – Receive one-on-one attention. Simply call a JANET Associate during regular business hours for helpful advice on any job search topic.
- Constant contact - You're never alone. Receive follow-up calls on a weekly basis to answer any questions and provide guidance through the course.
- Valuable feedback – Get valuable words of advice. You'll receive additional feedback by faxing or mailing a copy of your custom résumé and cover letter to a JANET Associate.
- Career assistance – Your partnership with Allied does not end when your course does. Receive valuable advice and support for three years after you complete your JANET course. You'll have access to the tools you need to help make your job search successful.
